Accessibility & Accommodations

At Fleur de Lys Retreats, we welcome participants of all abilities and are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment.

Because our retreats take place in historic properties across France, the venues may not meet modern accessibility standards. Many are centuries-old châteaux or countryside estates with stairs, uneven terrain, narrow hallways, and limited access to elevators or adapted bathrooms. For this reason, not all retreats are suitable for guests with limited mobility or specific accessibility needs.

What to Expect

Each retreat page includes an Accessibility Note that outlines key features of the venue, including:

  • Whether the rooms are accessible by elevator or stairs only
  • Bathroom size and layout
  • Terrain and flooring (gravel, cobblestones, uneven paths)
  • Proximity to parking or transport
  • We strongly encourage you to review this information before registering.

If You Have Accessibility Needs

Please reach out to us at [your email] before booking. We're happy to:

  • Answer questions about the specific property
  • Clarify what accommodations can and cannot be provided
  • Recommend whether a particular retreat may or may not be a good fit
  • Suggest possible alternate arrangements

We will do our best to support you within the limitations of the location and our small-group setting.

Our Legal Commitment

While the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not apply to venues located in France, our U.S.-based company is committed to providing accessible customer service, communication, and booking experiences.

We want every guest to feel informed, welcomed, and treated with care — even if not every property can meet every physical need.
